Before the release it was promoted as the remake of gumrah by the media.Gumrah also had the same theme.It was a mahesh bhatt yash johar movie.

You're not getting it. Savi was an official remake of the French movie because they bought the rights to remake it. Even if Jigra is copying the French movie over Savi, the same point is that they are stealing by not making for the rights to remake the movie. It's a fraud either way.
