Yikes. Definitely came out as an insult. I can only hope that they didn’t mean it that way but this was expressed so poorly it almost doesn’t matter. If interviewing celebs is your job you need to work on your verbiage and ability to articulate a thought clearly and respectfully. Something like “from your debut you had more of a girl next door aura, someone we can all relate to and be friends with. You came across as very normal and approachable. That’s very rare to see among Bollywood heroines”. This took me all of 40 seconds to come up with. So yea either this girl sucks at her job or someone behind the scenes is really bad at their job.
