Sam Bahadur got proper promotions and its advance booking probably opened on time. And to be fair it piggy backed off of Animal too like OMG2 and Gadar2.
For whatever reason Dharma decided against proper promotions outside of social media. On top of that they only opened advance booking partially on Tuesday and Wednesday and it didn’t fully open till Thursday. Someone on twitter was complaining that for their area it didn’t even open till very early hours of Friday. I have no idea what kind of strategy Dharma had in mind but they massively dropped the ball here. And it certainly made Kjo’s insider/outsider problem much worse now when you compare this to how he promoted RRKPK.
The only hope the movie has now is that the great WOM will give it a boost for the weekend. But as Bobby (SRKat) said in his predictions WOM doesn’t mean anything without a buzz. And that’s where Dharma failed Sid.
Yodha will become that movie that for years people will be catching it on TV and wondering why they didn’t watch the movie on the big screen and it should have been a success. All I can’t do as a Sid fan is relish in these overwhelmingly amazing reviews
No it did not, both OMG 2 and Sam Bahadur did well because the audience loved it, and Sam was about an incredible man and Vicky nailed it.
Why was Shehzhada a huge flop when it was released next to Pathaan?
Why did Bhedyia underperform while next to Drisshyam 2?
Movies that clash does affect other movies, that is why most movies prefer solo release.
OMG 2 was a huge critical acclaim and one of the best movie last year.
Lets not.
