The labels, T-series, contention is that singers are easily replaceable with technological advances and other than a B-praak or an Arijit don't add much Value to the song. If one doesn't sing, they have no issue getting a no-name to sing and they won't miss a beat. Financially, they feel these singers have other avenues to get compensated like Live Concerts where these singers make a killing even if they have just 1 or 2 hit songs.

It's no doubt a monopoly and the Singers don't have much of a choice but what Armaan fails to mention is that these singers still make tons of money through other avenues like Social Media & Live Concerts if they're *Lucky* enough to get Chosen for a Hit song.

not many can perform live to earn heavy ...i dont think ankit tiawri / Muhammad Irfan has any demand in live shows despite of having few superhit songs.....so on and so forth ...but if singers earn money for that 1 hit song they are singing in stage, they would not be singing that one song , they would be perorming 20 other songs as well.... but music companies and label earn tripple by doing nothing as upto now when ever singer sing in whatever avenue the music label gets the money for the song ..... composers like shankar ehsan loy and saleem suleman are vocal about not compensated on good terms, saleem suleman said they have took films from us the labels and asked others to not work with us ......they started their indpi music , and tthey are making better songs than bollywood released popular songs ........i havent seen shankar ehsan loy and saleem suleman as active since last 10 years , they arent getting much chances ....they are capable to make quality music ......pritam deserve where he is but he has got much films this year rocky rani , dunki , tu jhooti me makar , .....sachin jigar , saleem suleman and shankar ehsan loy not as busy since last couple of years ....despite making better songs than pritam off late albums i.e tere vaste falak se

It's not just concerts. You can do live performances at bars, college fests, clubs and a lot of these singers do including Ankit Tiwari, whose career crashed because of a rape allegation.

Most composers and lyricists do get a share in royalties. Some don't, because of the sort of contracts they sign. You have to protect yourself against Corporate greed. Singers in my opinion don't deserve it, like I said before they're easily replaceable and don't add enough value. Outside Bollywood, most singers are also composers like Badshah, Diljit Dosanjh, Guru Randhawa. They compose, write and sing their own songs and make royalties and clean up with live performances.

I hope more laws are brought to protect Composers & Lyricists in Bollywood against the big corporations but unfortunately I don't feel the same for singers and this is just my opinion. Auto Tune has made their job too redundant unlike in the past when a Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Udit Narayan all had distinctive styles and voices. Most of the time I cant even make out the singer anymore.

A lot of the singers do seem to be gravitating towards composing like singers Outside Bollywood do, which would mean a share in Royalties.

Let's be honest, "Tere Vaaste" would've been a massive hit if any of the top 100 options in Bollywood sang it.

not many want to listen autotuners thats why people moved to songs from coke studio pakistan or other private songs, as bollywood was churning waste songs which became rage and goes forgotten in months....., its a team work without a good voice a good tune and a good lyrics dont have any meaning , a good voice is very very nesseary for a song to have a long life ....a song is rememrered by the name of singer of the song that is how important singers are , no one call a naushad song it would be called as rafi songs ....

so singers work is very esstential part of music else rarely we had good singers composers.....otherwise anu malik would have been zero without his singers first and then his lyrics writters ,,,,,anu malik got good singers in the 90s ... imagine anu churning the songs he made for Kumar Sanu , Sonu Nigam , Udit Narayan , Abhijeet..... Nadeem Sharavan's Nadeem saifi released his solo album in mid 90s but it went flop as gulshan kumar said to nadeem that you dont have a good voice to sing your compositions , one cant be little the level a singer gave to the song

Nadeem flop album, had it been sung by his singers may be the outcome of the song would have been opposite

Ayesha Ayesha..... (Ayesha) Sung By Nadeem Saifi Sir | Music : Nadeem Saifi & Sharavan Kumar Rathod Sung By : Nadeem Saifi Sahb Lyrics : @Sameer Anjaan Sir All Right Reserved by

and in today times what if pritam had sung his own songs by himself ,

in last decade we have seen that a song which was just made for reels and autotners honey singh songs or badshah songs which got viral but now are long forgotten so it all shows that the importance of a real singing voice which bollywood lack over the years......

also that the issue with today singers are they mostly copy arijit singh style that is why majority of singers doesnt matter today......but with this strategy bollywood has reached where it is now .......things were different during 1960 to 2010 ....that is why the music of that times are now remembered more than the films

if only the importance of real singing voice gets back , that is how important real singing voice is they rightly deserve everything royalty or loyalty anything
