I have seen this clip posted before. Probably on Twitter if not here... And I totally agree with the guy.

Also the guy is quite a decent actor.

Merko yaad hai jab main Archies dekhne ka try kiya tha, aur daant pees ke (boleto teeth clench karke) jhelne raha tha, tabhi ek scene aaya jidhar yeh actor aur Suhana the. BC is actor ka bina kisi dialogue ya action ke bhi sirf chehre ka shot was thousand times better than jo Suhana karrai thi. Idhar baat sirf star kid ki nahin hai. E.g. agar Ishan Khattar ko debut ke time aisa ek saal ka workshop diyela hota toh cheer faad kar diya hota ..

Ishaan is a good actor without those workshops. Atp, I doubt about the quality of these "workshops" koi acting seekhaya bhi ki just Prada ke kapde repeat karke enviornment and sustainable hone se PR points kaise kamaye jaate hai yeh seekhaya inko

The clip already got posted here in the forum (and discussed).

Yes, He is a decent actor and frequently worked with Excel Entertainment (among others in Luck by Chance and Don 2).

Nevertheless, I won't take his words as relatable in every way...also a 'one-year' workshop doesn't mean almost every day but sessions throughout a year to prepare roles and dances through rehearsals...

I understand that one year workshop may not mean almost everyday, yet you can't deny that they got one full year to do training and homework so that they can get into the skin of the character. For anyone with an ounce of talent that much time is more than enough.

What exact information do we have about these 'workshops'?

What exact information have we about the shooting process?

What exact information do we have about the directorial instructions Zoya gave?

All we really have is our impression (and the one of others) about the movie...and that is personal, a matter of likes and dislikes, connecting or not, comparisons (equally personal impressions), etc.

My own personal impression differs from others but I won't state that a film is so-and-so by generalizing my own impression. To me, The Archies, is not forcibly what it is for another person.

What I really dislike is the way a movie is judged on a generalizing level. It is a product (of art) that caters to an individual reception (that then can influence other prople's reception...for whatever reasons).

I can tell what influences me and others can agree or disagree through their own experience. If someone judges a movie without having watched it, then there is no genuine interest (like it is for me with Animal...but still I can voice why I reject it, I don't pretend).

The way The Archies got judged shows, to me, a lot of bias, especially relative to the star-kids and there, in a ridiculously hightened way, relative to Suhana.

And now again, this bias works when comparing the new (coming-of-age) movie produced by Excel with The Archies.

I don't need any exact information. The thing I know is that they got one year time to prepare. And for a person with even a little bit of talent one year is more than enough to be able to prepare and practice for a movie. (Talented) Kids clear even the medical and engineering entrance exams in one year. How hard it is to prepare for a movie? And what exceptional acting or dance was expected from them in Archies. Just a basic level decent acting and dance for a newcomer. That too they couldn't do (with a couple of exceptions).

What enmity do I have against suhana to have any bias. Hell I even supported her when she was being trolled for her looks. But once I saw her in few clips of Archies, I knew I wouldn't be able to tolerate her acting (or lack of it). If being a star kid get u so many privileges it also opens you to judgement. Why enjoy the former and complain about the latter?
