I've just finished watching 2 episodes of season 2, and wanted to discuss with you guys. I didn't like the ending of episode 2, I wish Mrunal had not forgiven her fiance after he abused her and agreed to get married with him. I suppose it's realistic, though.

Domestic abuse is very common in our country. The episode is very good as it sheds light on this sensitive theme. I just wish the director had shown her courageous enough to leave him.

Has anyone seen it yet? Thoughts?

Seen it. Agree with you that DV is unforgivable but often you see the victim forgiving the abuser several times before takking a stand or fatally dying at their hands. It's a harsh but true reality and is seen in any strata of society.

All I will say is keep watching as that story is addressed in the final episode.

Yeah what everyone else said - wait till the ending of the last episode. I have so many thoughts about this season - anyone made a discussion thread yet? Keen to hear other people’s thoughts too.

Yeh the last episode offers more to the story

However, I do see why they had that ending ….they showed that she succumbed to her circumstances …there are plenty of women who knowingly get into this mess thinking the guy is “otherwise good” or that he will change out of Iove or that the violence is just a heat of the moment thing …

The entire show is about messed up marriages behind extravagant weddings so it fits …they stage the wedding also in such a sad way…almost like a funeral with somber music

In an ideal world, we’d love for everyone to take a stand for themselves and do the right thing …but the show isn’t showing an ideal world

On season 2 episode 2 now. Jasmeet is my favorite character. She’s so innocent and so complex at the same time. Who is this actress? Has she done anything else before?

It shows how addictive narcissistic abuse is & how difficult it is to break away from it. Quoting the god of small things, "human beings are creatures of habit, and it is amazing the kind of things they could get used to", referring to domestic abuse.

On episode 6 now

I think my hormones are out of whack because 2 out of the 6 episodes have already made my cry my eyes out.

So overwhelmed by this season. Every episode is precious. They’ve handled each arc so beautifully. Such poignant storytelling. Kudos to the writers man!
