I’m condensing all my replies here. I hope I’ve tagged the right people.
I had never heard of Adi playing Shraddha. Maybe he did or maybe he didn’t. But at the time of their break up the rumors were she broke it off because he was too lazy and lacked ambition. Adi actually seemed close to the family. During OK Janu promotions at one of the dance or singing shows Shakti Kapoor came to surprise Shraddha on stage and Adi too got up from his seat and went to greet Shakti. Rohan Shresta was part of all the family celebrations when Shraddha’s cousin was getting married. Rumors of their engagement was going strong and even Shakti had said something like whenever the kids decide to do it.
The one the family really had a problem with was Farhan. Whether it was his divorce or his age or whatever I don’t know. But I think that was also Shraddha’s rebellious phase because she apparently decided to move in with Farhan and did so. Gossip was that Shakti Kapoor and his wife drove to Farhan Akhtar’s house at midnight and dragged her out and when Farhan tried to intervene it turned into a confrontation, which then resulted in Farhan backing off. That was the end of Farhan and Shraddha.
Adi developed a reputation of being very uncommitted after Shraddha. I think probably because he just hasn’t been in a serious relationship since. But I don’t think he’s known as a player in a sense that he dates them and then dumps them or cheats on them. He’s just been known to take the whole dating thing very casually.
