Max, I totally agree that people of different opinions still should come together...in a village, in a small town, in the parts of bigger town...to find solutions together for the problems they face.

I never would say, btw, that India isn't democratic...it's the current government that is more autocratic than democratic ...

I also agree that the criminal past (mostly corruption) of far too many Indian politicians (of those I read about) is something strange...also the corruption in departments that should respect the law...

But I also see the positive and the potential Indians have in them...given a less fearful life, a less resenting thinking, a less judgemental look at others and politicians that strive for togetherness instead of division...wow!

I think, Indians are one of the most resilient human beings.
