I feel like varun needs a lot I mean a lot of “padding” to give a good opening
He needs atleast a few of these to land a decent number at the bo
-a reputed prod house,
- lighthearted / humorous theme,
- some sorta multi starrer occasionally,
- atleast 1 super hit song
- the current hot fav heroine who’s big with the masses/youth (shraddha, kiara, aliaa)
Jug jug, humpty-badri series, main tera hero, dilwale, abcd dance movie…all sorta worked acc to that formula
Give him something serious or without a big heroine/hit songs and it usually dosent work (kalank, October, sui dhaaga….badlapur is an exception thanks to sriram raghavan)
His formula started getting stale from street dancer/ coolie no 1…
He tried this formula with bhediya too but the songs weren’t hits, the humor missed the mark also kriti is no where as popular as shraddha, aliaa or kiara are….
He needs to get real…hopefully citadel works out with samantha
