SRK's career without KJo and YRF - what would it be? - Page 6

I can't believe after so many years, we are still debating who made Shah the star he is😆

I really don't understand this - "Shah without Dharma and YRF", are we changing his name or names of these production houses? It's like asking Shah without Raj and Rahul, if not Raj and Rahul it would have been some other name

For example - In a film titled, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Salman played a character named "Raj Malhotra"

Hrithik Roshan played "Raj Khanna" in a YRF movie titled "Mujhse Dosti Karoge"

Is it as iconic as "Raj Malhotra" of DDLJ?

If it isn't Shah then every Raj under every YRF movie would have been as successful as DDLJ

Point being, naysayers will come up with ridiculous reasons to discredit Shah's hardwork and success but Billions work hard to get the fraction of success and stardom this man has, There are many actors who work under Dharma and YRF, Are they as successful as Shah?

What has Khan Saab without DDLJ in 90s?

His 2nd biggest grosser is - KKHH (Dharma)

His 3rd biggest grosser is = DTPH (YRF)

In 90s, he has only 1 Karan Arjun which was on par success with DDLJ, and agar aap DDLJ bhi dekho, woh bhi YRF hai.

Ghantaa kuch nahi Khan saab ke paas without these 2 studios.

The difference between Khan Saab & Stars whom you have mentioned above is that they have given much bigger hits other than those directors/studios, while Khan Saab left with only 2 studios to back him till the time he was able to launch his own studio.

Heh? Deewana? King Uncle? RBGG? Baazigar? KHKN? Karan Arjun?

Not to mention the fact SRK did it on his own, without an influential father (Salman) or letter from Indira Gandhi (Amitabh).

If not for YRF and KJo, SRK would've done films with other producers and continued to give hits as he did with Raj Kanwar, Rakesh Roshan, Aziz Mirza, Abbas Mastan.

YRF and Dharma in fact did more harm to actor SRK than any other producer/director duo he worked with.

But it's cool. If you feel SRK would not have done anything else in the absence of those 2 producers, that's your prerogative.

Chalo, for your sake, just give me those film's name which are Hit or above verdict ones, all those films from 90s. When you will see that list, you will see Khan Saab has very less no. of those hits as compare to other stars.

^^^ bas 5? This is not what the kind of STAR you guys are projecting would have achieved without YRF/DHARMA.

He got STAR & SUPERSTAR status coz of DDLJ/KKHH, not by doing Raju Ban gaya gentleman.

I never troll when I talk to you coz I like you as a Sane Khan Saab's fan (Pehle bhi kaha hai). If you could read my post again, I am talking about 90s - 1990-99.

2nd I was talking about Clean HITs, not Average, Semi-hit films or flops. Clean HIT is when you get at least HIT verdict, that is the measure of success for any film.

Yes, I forgot Deewana, woh bhi Add karlo, other than that RBGG, King Uncle & KHKN were not clean hits.

Of course, SRK had done successful movies outside Dharma and YRF (written in my initial post)...even after having his own production house, he worked successfully with others...it is not fair to reduce his success on the movies he did in the 90es or with KJo and YRF...and it isn't fair, either, to limit his success and reputation to India and/or the domestic boxoffice.

Topic you have made, I am just giving my viewpoint.

I feel Khan Saab's fans always get offended if this topic is discussed, it isn't shame in accepting if 2 studios have given major contribution in 1 actor's career, kya ho gaya agar maan lenge?

If this question is asked to Khan Saab, he will himself accept this fact that yes, all his major hits till RCE launched were from YRF/Dharma only.

Yes, coz that film required NEW FACE, woh waise bhi Badi HIT Honi thi. Half the work is always done when Director complete script & has a vision for Hero.

It is not just for Salman or Khan Saab, it is for all. SHOLAY would have been big without Dharam ji & Amit ji.

Very rare we could say that YES, this Hero/Character koi aur nahi kar sakta tha. The biggest example will be Saif Ali Khan was suppose to be doing DDLJ, he didn't Khan Saab did. Salman was suppose to do Baazigar, Khan Saab did. Aren't those films BIG HITs without the original cast who was suppose to play those roles?
