why are you acting like acting is like being a scientist, do you look at Kareena who has been been actress for 20 years as intelligent or smart? Especially when both Alia and Kareena are nepos. The are many dumb actors.

I personally don't like the term "dumb". There are book smarts and street smarts. There is intelligence and emotional intelligence. Some very intelligent people tend to lack basic life skills or social skills. On the other hand, some people clearly lack intelligence or book knowledge, but they can be incredibly thoughtful in other aspects of life.

And that's exactly how Alia is. She isn't book smart. She doesn't retain facts well and can appear utterly clueless with basic info. But she is very talented at what she does. I think her emotional intelligence helps her understand and get in the skin of any character. I'm sure she could have expressed the sentiment authentically.

It's just that this speech had a polished script that felt embellished and inauthentic.
