Why are the Bachchans So Backwards?

So many examples, but one, This Shweta Bachchan, why is she okay with her son being in movies but not her daughter? And then she portrays herself to be well educated with a modern and elite attitude. Initially she said she didn’t want Navya to be an actress because she didn’t want her to face what Abhishek faced and yet … her son can be an actor?

Navya very obviously wants to be an actor. She has a podcast now, doing interviews, cute start ups etc. did a commercial with L’Oréal and blue tick on Instagram. Geez. Why does she listen to her mom? Just go and do it. She’s def smarter than other nepo’s.

Also their whole dynamic with Aishwarya is so backwards and regressive. No wonder she looks bad and has made horrible career choices. It’s so obvious they’re jealous of her and hate the fact that she’s better than Abhishek.

Are they against feminism or something? Or they just hate everyone except Shweta?

I don’t know about their dynamic with Aishwarya. I think it might mostly just be typical n law dramas. I remember from the day Ash and Abhishek got engaged Bachchans were very supportive of her career. She’s still working, coming and going as she pleases.

You are absolutely right about Shweta, and not letting Navya entering the industry. She said it on KWK for the whole world to see. Now either her son was more persistent and won mom over, or she just didn’t want her daughter to become an actress for whatever reason. The girl is not shy and enjoys being in the spotlight though.

Because In the past some didn’t allow their daughters to go into acting so probably their daughter as that same thinking 🤔. Just like Rishi Kapoor and neetu didn’t their daughter but who knows they might change their mind like saif did regarding Sara. I think with Aish she was already in the industry and AB jr was ok with aish working and probably their daughter will too.

Bachchans are backwards. Navya herself said in one of the interviews, how in India girls are expected to host guests but boys are not. She gave example of her own family, and frankly I expected more from such elite family. And yes, It looks like Navya likes being in limelight, might even be more talented than her brother but of course we will never know.

I wonder what will they do when Aradhya wants to join, though I don’t think Aish let anyone make any decisions about her so doubt they will say anything

I think you have mentioned it before. You find Navya to be one of the most attractive star daughters. Clearly you want to see her in films. Attractive nepos always seem to be the exception.

Either she thinks Navya isnt good enough or too weak to handle criticism whereas boy is tough and can handle it. Both thinking sucks

Navya adores the spotlight, yes, but apparently doesn’t want to be an actor. She’s going to position herself as a social entrepreneur/socialite & if she is actually dating Siddhant Chaturvedi, am so surprised, b/c he doesn’t really seem her type (I am assuming she loves them elite family boys)

Tbh, I am most surprised by, in fact taken aback, by Agastya!! Never ever imagined HIM joining films b/c he appears super duper shy & introverted. Let’s see how he fares.

As for Ash, her equation with the Bs’ is the typical Indian in-law drama. Though am sure jealousy & patriarchy is at play there but then the Bs’ are known to be regressive AF b/c they literally got the woman MARRIED TO A TREE.
