Brahmastra Hits Record Numbers in South - Territory Breakdown

Brahmastra collected a record 30.25 crore nett for a Hindi film in South India as Telugu version did well and Tamil version did pretty well. The South total is pretty much similar to Mumbai circuit and infact a little ahead. The film is course to becoming the highest grosser in Nizam / andhra in all formats beating Dangal though it wont beat the Hindi version of Dangal in Nizam Andhra.

Brahmastra collected 10.90 crore nett in Telugu, 2.61 crore nett in Tamil and 16 lakh in Kannada and practically zero in Malayalam. There was around 25 lakhs in regional from Hindi circuits also This gives the film a total of 13.92 crore nett in regional languages. The breakdown of the collections from South is as follows.

Friday - 6,03,00,000 (Hindi - 2.16 cr, Tel - 3.87 cr)

Saturday - 5,12,00,000 (Hindi - 2.17 cr, Tel - 2.95 cr)

Monday collections pretty much reveals that the weekend numbers were largely fabricated.

It's just astonishing that Bollywood people would rather manipulate numbers than invest on good writers/directors.

How? Any proof or real collection indication or is it hawa mein theory?

This gives me hope that some day Amish Tripathi will get the team involved in making his book trailers to do an actual movie and it'll be hit too off topic, ik, but those trailers are just 😍😍😍 and if Bhramastra starts a trend of mythology based, lore filled movie for BW, I have hopes🙈

I had pointed out the unusual views the Telugu videos had and that maybe the Rajamouli pandering was working. And everyone said, it is just because of Nagarjuna and no one will actually watch it. It is even more hilarious to me that south markets have shown up most strongly for Brahmastra. I thought they only watch smart cinema. 😆
