That’s essentially Bollywood’s problem. They don’t invest in good writers. A lot of times the director is the writer. It wasn’t always like this obviously. Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan as writers made such an impact on Hindi cinema that to this day they are still loved and respected. Today most of the money goes to the stars. After the that most of the visible focus is on marketing and PR, which makes sense because there’s so much competition out there and each producer needs to make their product stand out. That sort of ties in with the first part because the star is the face of the movie so the idea is the said star will be able to sell the movie. Round and round everyone goes.
yes
the reason why writers turn into directors is also this, in south too lot of writers have turned into direction when their heart is into writing, because they realise the money and fame is in direction though writing is what makes the film
all of them will say writing is their first love and they end up doing mediocre job at direction
will a jk rowling direct harry potter, no because she probably got the most fame and considerable money just writing
