Her "expression" is very bad indeed.
But he is just as bad if not WORSE than her in this clip. I've never seen his films before, but he is acting like a D-grade mid-90s straight-to-VHS level Mithun-style over-over-acting masterclass vibes

And, I would like to add something: Bare with me for just 2-minutes please, and bring your open-mind with you...
So... I have often heard in interviews with actresses that when they work with a "hero" who is "bigger" than them, they often get sidelined by the director... their takes are usually okay'd without letting them see the monitor and request a re-take... 😵 - remember when Sooryavanshi was coming out and Katrina mentioned she didn't like the way she looked in a particular moment and asked for 1 retake but the director told her "nobody will be looking at you, when there are these 3 in the frame: Akshay, Ajay, Ranveer" 🤓

Same thing happened with Sara Ali Khan in Coolie No.1 - not that she is some great thespian, but especially with newer girls, and working with a guy whose dad is directing the film, they will get second-class citizen treatment when it comes to final edits. Making her performance in the film from bad to worse.
Anushka Sharma revealed that the guy always gets preferential treatment when it comes to shoots. The bigger hotel room, higher pay, filming their close-ups first etc

In another thread recently, somebody mentioned that Amisha Patel's scenes in Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002) were cut (those scenes explained she had asthma) but in the final edit of the film, she is seen as crying so awfully that some joked it looks like she is having an asthma attack, which ends up making her look like an awful actress - would they have short-changed Hrithik's performance like this, I wonder.
And Kareena Kapoor stated that this was part of the reason why she left Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai...!!! (upon release, Amisha spoke in magazines about her disappointment that her only solo song in the film was cut). 😎
