PRESS RELEASE

To celebrate Adira's birthday we would like to announce

our new Head Of Creativity @ YRF: Mrs. Rani MM Chopra

She's done it all in her career > Began working hard since age of 14 to fulfil her mother's lifelong dream of becoming known as Malkin Mukherjee > She worked the era of 5 shifts a day, 2 hours sleep per night > Stealing her best friend's movies > Work outside films on various female centric issues > And of course she put Jr. Bachchan back in his place and she also put Karate on the Map.

She's got it all: the voice, the goggles, and the misogyny.

So... the first 7 releases will be a special set of YRF classics reimagined.

I don't think promoting is the issue. It's the quality that really has fallen apart in the 2010s. There's only so much promotions can salvage

I think promotions are not the problem, but the films they are making don't have that pull for an audience. Subject wise, it may be somewhat appealing but overall dull.

This is the digital age, you don't promote when everything is constantly available to you all the time. Promotions don't make a difference. Aamir barely promotes his movies and they make the highest money and have one of the best openings.

YRF know what will work and what will not. They make enough money with the biggies (Tiger series, War) that they don't care about small budget flops..they will be back with Tiger 3 and Pathan.

As for the movies listed, most of these were garbage and if we know that, the team knows it better than us. They all knew they ended up making garbage and it won't work. Even if these were highly promoted they would have met similar fate. Kangana went out and out to promote dhakad and the rest we know..

And a good and an entertaining movie..(esp entertaining coz i feel post pandemic people just want to be entertained foremost)..will work..period and also online buzz and these imdb ratings are all bogus..real wom (which has no relation with online buzz..) does wonders..so don't go by how many people are praising it online..this still works like the 90s and early 2000s..its intangible but very much existing and it spreads like wildfire..

Many YRF films that used to launch with a lot of hype or fanfare have been flopping since God knows how many years. Jhoom barabar Jhoom, Aaja Nachle, Tashan, Befikre, JTHJ, Gunday, Kill Dill, Byomkesh, Sui dhaaga, Thugs etc...Their three film deals also do nothing for the concerned actors, if anything they have put them in jeopardy. So I think many fans also lost interest after pinning so many hopes on their favourites' to be released movies. Even I fall in that category.

Ab Ranbir ki aane wali film flop hogi toh another set of fans will join the "pinned hopes for a disappointment in the end" category. Bhai's movies are an exception in this. War also lucked out, I think.
