SRK is a smart business men...unlike his script acumen😆 ..the business acumen is really smart...I am sure he has done in homework and not investing millions in nothing....When I moved to USA....cricket was an unknown sport here....today in some schools cricket is offered with other sports...Its a start...Cricket is finding its roots slowly and with the Desi population on the rise...it will be interesting to see where all this leads to.....

There is a starting point for everything....like Indian languages like Tamil and Telugu have found their way in the schools.....Diwali has been recognized as an Indian festival eligible for taking a holiday.....this is also a step in that direction.

Business deal, prob, to move a few assets to the States or some such. U.S. just doesn't have enough cricket lovers to make it be about the sport alone. My bet is the cricket part made the deal easier to get through the feds here somehow. Foreign investment regulations and all.

As BI said, SRK seems to be a pretty good businessman.

Baseball is already too popular here ! Which everyone tells me is an overly simplified form of cricket. But us Bostonian Red Sox and the New York Yankees have had years worth of rivalries. It is already so established. And has more of a history with American culture. But who knows maybe cricket will become more common . 🤷‍♀️

He started Red Chillies in 2005 and said that VFX is future of film industry, None believed him and Today, Red Chillies vfx is producing quality vfx and is associated with films like RRR

I'd never doubt SRK when it comes to investment

Well that's exciting... the proposed site is inside a sports complex that already has several varied sports within it's 1,300 or so acres that includes 24 soccer fields, baseball and softball fields and two other stadiums all of it controlled by the city planning governance. Irvine is very good or prime CA realstate (not cheap) so I am sure his 30 mil is part of a larger investment, however if they can make it work then it is a good addition to a location that allready has been stablished as a sports destination, the voters and homeowners will not be impacted in a negative way, so that is less of a challenge, plus a cricket field is for sure easier to build than a football stadium (example: building the SoFi is stimated at 5 to 6 Billion dollars plus benefits from the city of Inglewood). I am not sure if the fan base in SC is that huge at this point, but hey if anyone can be a magnet for ex-pats or people who like cricket in general, or to generate an interest in the sport that would be SRK. I am all for sports and offering the youth and fans a wide variety to pick from.

That’s why I think this is more of a real estate deal than anything.

Exactly they had made a joke about it then...the way they are making a joke of it now.....There is a reason why SRK is the richest actor in the world now....He knows what he is doing.....and they way the Desi population is growing in USA.....there is something SRK must have seen....I trust SRK's brains more than the naysayers for sure..😆

In addition to Nadella, the league's prominent tech investors include Shantanu Narayen, the CEO and chairman of Adobe; SQN hedge fund manager Amish Mehta; Neeraj Arora, former chief business officer of WhatsApp; and Subrah Iyar, who founded WebEx and is an investor in Zoom Video Communications, according to a news release.
