I need some education on this whole situation, if someone can give me history lesson that would be great. As far as I remember it was a very well known thing that Hindu pandits were killed in Kashmir and were kicked out of there. So why are they saying this movie Is what gave recognition to the genocide?

No it was not a well known thing..for years it wasn't even acknowledged that something like this happened. Was even denied by some.

Even those who knew didn't know the extent. People out of India knowing it is out of question.

So first a human rights organization acknowledging it and then British parliament calling them is definitely a step in right direction.

Why r Germany n other countries able to move on n progress after the holocaust? Coz they acknowledged n accepted that something like this happened..a reminder that it shouldn't happen again.

Acceptance n acknowledgement r steps towards healing
