He was probably always lazy. He was an assistant director on Kal Ho Naa Ho. There’s a video of Karan Johar saying a lot of time when everyone was looking for Arjun on the sets they’d find him napping somewhere. Arjun himself has even said he wasn’t a good assistant.

He did however work hard to lose the weight for Ishqzada but clearly couldn’t maintain it or didn’t have any incentive to maintain it as he was getting offers even after his weight gain. In the last year he seems to be getting back in shape though.

I liked him in ishaqzaade and two states. He was looking so good in these two movies.

Yeah I did. He was good in it. The movie sucked though.
