What do you think about the chemistry between them? Its very evident they did not have a kissing scene/intimate scene because shantanu not a star kid or a bolly hero. In the inside car scene in meri jaan song it can be seen that he was not allowed to kiss her which is funny..making alia look superior lmao

There could be other reasons for not having a snogging scene, like to show the purity of their relationship where she was surrounded by people who lusted for her and mistreated her

I donot buy this because kiss is expressing love in beautiful way and she is the one who can differentiate lust and love easily. The pure love can never thing of lust while kissing the love of her life..

I think the opposite. Shantanu's character almost pounced onto alia. I think a simple kiss would have been way less "lustful". Its just the scenes been done like that due to the fact alia wont kiss a tv actor

That was the whole point of the song. Afsaan thought the car ride meant they were moving ahead with the relationship and pounced on her thinking it's absolutely okay for him to make love to her like that which Gangu refused since that's how her clients would pounce on her at night. Gangu didn't want the forceful act of love or the kiss. She finally found love after years of humiliation and all she wanted was atleast for once her lover to caress her hair and be beside her instead of acting like an animal and jumping on her like the horror she faced daily at night in the kotha. It's just like how Silk in the climax of TDP writes in her suicide note 'Kamar pe haath rakhne wale toh bahut the, kisi be kabhi sar pe haath kyun nahin rakha' .

If you look at how the whole song builds up, it is Gangu who starts the flirting and is enjoying the romantic ride with him until the point he pounces on her and continues despite her saying no and that's when she looses her cool. You missed the whole point of the song and are reading too much into something which was done on purpose.
