....why did the makers fail to give credit to the original movie? They are still trying to pass it off as an original even though several scenes were copied with no changes. Yet another remake from the creatively bankrupt Bollywood.

Oh please.
Yes the ending was changed and some minor changes were made, but the film plot and concept have totally been copied (and even in the original, only one couple was married, the other broke off post engagement like in this one). And way too many scenes were copied exactly as they were in the original with no changes. It is laughable to suggest that this was not a remake.
I haven't watched the film but according to what my friend told me, Zain tried to kill Alisha but he ends up drowning...and then Alisha rushes home into the shower where she miscarries.
In Match Point, Nola tells Chris she is pregnant and wants to raise the child with him...which is why he kills her.
Which made me think the same thing. Its 90% similar to Match Point. Even if they make a few changes here and there, the minute you hear the story you relate it to Match Point.
The movie is very similar to matchpoint, yes some scenes and twists are different, but the general storyline is very similar. Months before the film released there was an article that said the movie is going to be based on matchpoint, and shakun keeps talking about how woody Allen is his favorite, so it seems like shakun took alot of inspiration from the film

It's weird because Shakun said in some interview that he took years to write this script, which is a little tough to believe because it is quite clearly not original. Neither Dharma nor Shakun have publicly accepted that it's a remake or is an 'inspiration'.

I guess they want to pass it off as an original story, most of the movie wasn't shocking to me coz I kind of had an idea that its going to be based on matchpoint
Eh. I don't recall Woody Allen giving credit to novelist Theodore Dreiser or director George Stevens. Match Point is just a more cynical and brutal riff on on An American Tragedy/ A Place In The Sun.

Two wrongs don't make a right unfortunately.
It is definitely a copy of match point and a bad one at that.
