Could SRK have done Hera Pheri as good as Akshay? - Page 2

Hera Pheri is an iconic film. Period. Its cast is perfect as it is.

It is a cult classic.

No other actor could have done Akki or Sunil's role in it or Paresh or Tabu or Om Puri's role in it.

SRK has no comic timing compared to Akshay whose comic timing is easily one of all time bests in history of Indian cinema.

Waise bhi SRK rarely does roles of struggling, unemployed man or someone living in a chawl. He mostly plays rich NRI roles and was typecast in such roles in 2000 when Hera Pheri released. He is a misfit for any role in Hera Pheri or any comedy film in general.

BTW, Akki has no heroine opposite him in original Hera Pheri. So how could SRK do such a role? He'd have likely chosen Sunil's role as it atleast has romantic song and scenes with Tabu. I do not think he'd make do with one fantasy song that Akki did with Namrata in the film but remain as lone guy and dance with only old Paresh Rawal in the original.

Comedy is his his weakest skill as an actor.

The original cast is irreplaceable 😎

Some of the OTT parts were a bit much but it's still an enjoyable movie in my opinion especially the second half when it becomes more romance focused. SRK and Deepika were fun together

For me, the hero of Hera Pheri is Prakash Rawal. Without him the movie will fail. He overshadowed both Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty in the movie.

True. Paresh Rawal's comedic timing was amazing and in basically every iconic comedy movie from Akshay he had an important role and was hilarious.

That's true. Akshay was funnier in the sequel.

I didn’t like the sequel. I didn’t find it as funny as the 1st one.
