Who is most popular Designer of BW.

I used to think it’s Manish Malhotra but with the current trend of actresses choosing SabyaSachi over him makes me think, Sabya took over his popularity.

Kat, DP, Anushka, Priyanka all chose him for the wedding dresses. I think only Kareena wore Manish Malhotra at her wedding.

I wonder which Designer Alia is gonna choose 😔

I wonder when Alia will get married (to see which designer she wears etc) it keeps getting delayed even if Ranbir gets married he seems untrustworthy

Kareena chose Manish Malhotra and for me she was a "blah" bride. Nothing was bridal in her wear.

She was dressed same as she dresses to any other event. There was nothing special about her look on the wedding day.

I think Manish is so overrated as a designer. He has lots of glitter going on but there is no "Indianess" to his work.

Sabhyasachi, on other hand is very much traditional. You see all the details in his work. Each n every flower in his design is very much visible to your eye, and that's beautiful. It's not just a whole lot of glitter "in your face" but the detailed weaving that makes his outfits standout. No wonder brides to be prefer him on their special day.

I was recently going through Manish’s insta & noticed repetition in all his lehngas. Too much glitter & bling. It’s crazy why people still prefer him. On the other hand Sabya’s lehngas were better in his comparison. However they are too simple. Even Kat’s lehnga was so simple. I think Kat has worn better lehnga in her onscreen wedding though.

In fact, even middle class or upper class brides perfer Sabhyasachi on their wedding day.

Sabyascashi ofc. But his quality has declined. The black saree that deepika wore recently and the red one that alia wore was too simple and too pricey to be Sabyasachi. I mean you could get the exact same saree for less than 5k at a normal shop. Alia's looked like a designer saree and the one that deepika wore was a normal looking plain black saree. But their bridal wears are the best i have ever seen.

Manish has tooo much glitter in all of his clothes. I prefer anamika khanna's to his.

I think manish has turned into that designer whose outfits you would like to wear as part of a bridal party rather than the bride.

Also there is a shift to going back to red wedding outfits being more traditional from pastels once again. I love sabya’s work but yes sometimes I find this taut bun thing the brides have to do with his outfits not appealing.

How are his lehngas so expensive? They are extremely simple looking. I don’t find the hype. The lehnga that Kat is wearing is loooking like some guest lehnga rather than a bridal lehnga🤔 I think that Abu Jani sandeep khosla brand is much better. I remember Sonam & deepika’s Ivory sare and lehnga were by them. Much better than Sabyasachi imo

I am surprised why Tarun Tahiliani is not that popular among Bollywood people. His designs were classy.

Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla are most overrated and promoted way too much by Bachchans due to family connections perhaps. But their designs look more like upholstery than clothes for humans to wear.

Sabyasachi has begun to look repetitive and predictable though. Sometimes his brides look the same with same designs of dupattas, borders, same big rings.
