What happened to Khanna brothers?

Vinod Khanna's both sons Rahul and Akshaye were good looking and acted very well, did promising films like Earth, Taal, Border, DCH, Humraaz, Hungama etc.

What happened to them and why they disappeared suddenly from late 2000s?

Akshaye particularly was doing very good blend of commercial and critical acclaim films (including the film where he played MK Gandhi's troubled son, besides DCH, Border, Hungama, Humraaz, Taal etc). It is no mean feat to be able to overshadow Aamir Khan but he did manage to overshadow Aamir in DCH with his sensitive and nuanced portrayal of an introverted young man in love with an older woman.

Why did they disappear? Rahul Khanna was seen in some ad few years ago and a brief role in LAK.

What are the brothers doing now? Why did their careers not take off despite their looks, talent and significant films they did?

Akshaye Khanna wasnt well or something, he started losing his hair.

Rahul was also a part of a couple of American shows. Played a spy or something. I like Akshay's voice and the way he speaks. Guess his smile is cute too but without the hair he looked a bit odd.

I think they are too laid back to pursue bollywood. Must have some side business going on. Akshay does make an appearance time to time, but gets overshadowed.

Akshaye wasn't enamored of the films he was being offered so took some time off but he was in Section 375 in 2019.

Rahul was on the U.S. spy show The Americans and recently the Deepha Mehtra Hindi Netflix series Leila. He also writes.
