He has been doing shitty films for a decade now. Where did he go that he needs to make a comeback?

But I doubt if he can give a decent film or a critically acclaimed film or a hit now given his poor script sense.

Even Akshay has done meaningful films like Mission Mangal, Padman and Hrithik did Super 30. Whereas SRK has learnt nothing and still does faltu romantic films or wannabe action films which do not suit his age and he gets flak for looking jaded. Even his action films fail because they are marketed on basis of romantic songs and scenes instead of action scenes. Raees promotions showed how his marketing team misleads audience. The promos were all about Mahira and his romantic songs whereas the film was totally different story and not focused on his and Mahira's love story.

He has learnt nothing from Aamir either who got success and respect through films like Lagaan, RDB, TZP, Dangal.

Nor has he learnt from reinvention of Salman Khan who moved away from romantic films and family dramas to focus on pure action masala films.

He cannot even learn from Ajay Devgan who has been doing stuff like Tanhaji, Drishyam, Golmaal series and moving away from kind of films he did in 90s.

I feel he is going to land up like Amitabh of 80s and 90s if he continues like this. Amitabh just did not choose different or unique roles or scripts and tried to do same action, romance or family dramas only to fall flat on his face and mocked for looking like dad of his heroines. He was laughing stock of the town when he did Lal Badshah opposite Manisha and Shilpa and Sooryavansham opposite Soundarya in 90s.

SRK earlier also missed the bus when he rejected Lagaan, Munnabhai MBBS, RDB, 3 Idiots, DCH and is still making garbage choices.

Even his obsession to play Don made no sense considering how he could never fit in shoes of Amitabh and Rajinikanth who have played the iconic role earlier. Don series earned him more comparisons and flak than any further fame.

I have no idea why he still does romantic type roles when he is clearly misfit for them at this age.

Maybe he should do films based on subjects like mid life crisis or empty nest syndrome when kids go to college etc, if not a Baghban type film yet. Or do roles like that of a teacher, social worker, politician or detective or spy etc.

His bad choices now make me wonder if he chose CDI and Swades due to their scripts or because one was a YRF film and another was by Gowariker soon after his Oscar nomination?

SRK tries romantic act in ads too. That hair color ad is insufferable. How long is he going to repeat senorita dialogues now?

Unless SRK reinvents himself and stops relying on his romantic image, he will slide down further and there is no hope for him to give a single superhit film as a solo male lead.

His contemporaries of 90s are doing better than him in terms of reinvention and trying different stuff.

He is still where he is or does faltu films like Ra One or HNY for friends. I feel Farah Khan destroyed his career with run of the mill flicks.

He plays safe doing flicks with or for friends.

Hardly experiments with his image or script choices.

He better know nobody wants to see same old Raj or Rahul in a beard. Just as nobody wanted to see Amitabh doing same old Vijay type roles in 90s.
