Honestly, I think my esteem for his acting has grown higher based on the new crowd and how disappointing they've been (mainly I'm referring to Ranbir lol).

You think Ranbir is a disappointing actor? 😐 I’ve never heard someone actually dislike his acting. I’m trembling from shock.

I am not a Ranbir fan at all and his movies tend to flop more than he gives hits. Out of his generation I think Ranveer is not only better looking but also a more dynamic actor.

Hrithik's best performance so far for me to this day is Kaho Na Pyar Hai. Mission Kashmir, KKKG, KMG, ZNMD, Bang Bang, Dhoom 2 and War are some of my other favorites. I don't consider him a stellar actor but that's rare anyways. I'll watch his movies cuz he's hot, performs better than most of them, dances magically and did I mention cuz he's hot? smiley17 I think that's more than what most of them can offer and that puts him ahead of others.

As for Ranbir, I absolutely cannot stand Ranbir's two faced personality, one of the supposedly "classy" dude who comes from the blue blood line and the other of Kareena's gossip partner in crime in whatsapp chat groups to mock and laugh at people's looks and outfits. NOPE, not having any of the nonchalant façade he tries to put on in interviews. But I can separate the offputting and nasty character he seems to be in real from the roles he portrays in movies, so I give him credit where it's due for holding up his end of the job in movies that most probably fall into his lap anyways. Some of my favorite performances are Barfi, YJHD where he was mostly playing himself, Tamasha and Sanju. Not a fan of the movie, Sanju, but I think Ranbir and Paresh Rawal did commendable jobs with their parts. I hate to admit that he is good at what he does.

Aamir has his moments.

Earth was good, and I liked him a lot in Talaash. The rest you mentioned were entertaining, and he doesn't ham and make it clear he thinks the roles are silly, which is extremely professional of him. But they didn't involve any great acting.

Thing is he *is* hailed as a great actor based on these.

When it comes to SRK, very few people actually laud him for the acting. And when JS commented they do, I responded that SRK can actually act though he seems to choose not to. And yeah, Nawaz and Kamal Hassan have commented on SRK's acting capabilities.

TBH, mainstream BW has very few *great* actors. If you want to see actual great acting, watch Fahad Faasil or Mohanlal. Or Uttam Kumar (old Bengali actor) in the Satyajit Rai film (I don't remember the name). There are some Marathi actors I don't remember the name of, too.

Many actors played "tapori" chars but not seen anyone come close to Munna.Kamal,Dhanush did try but naah.

Fahad likes Aamir and Irfan's work in Hindi cinema. He never met them. When asked about collaboration with Aamir , he said if doesn't get to work with then meet and ask how does he portray such distinct chars say like Dangal, his approach to play that char.

There are some who think he is great.

A couple of years ago Trisha Krishnan called Mohanlal,Kamal and Aamir are 3 best actors in India.

Dilip Kumar: From last 4 decade Amitabh,Aamir and Tabu are gifted performers.

My point is good or great is upto individuals.Certainly he is not average.

Fahadh,Soubin,Tovino,Nivin, Mohanlal,Parvathy, Mamooka,Dulquer,Prithvi,Revathy,Shobana,Nazariya. I have seen them all.I have seen Malayalam,Marathi,Tamil,Telugu,Kannada and few Bengali films.

If you want to see actual great acting then watch Mads Mikkelsen's European films and Tony Leung's films.

3/10 because he is extremely hammy and melodramatic! and his comic timing sucks big time 🥱

He's good in intense, author-backed roles. He also suits period dramas very well. Can't do comedy or light-hearted roles - looks pretty fake in them (KNPH was an exception).

I think he's a great actor. He gets into the skin of the character, internalizes the character's body language, works on voice modulation, and gives it his 100%. He actually puts effort into each and every character he plays.

In the same year, he did KNPH, Fiza, and Mission Kashmir. People are so enamored by KNPH they forget his stellar act in Fiza and his heart-wrenching performance in Mission Kashmir. To do these 3 vastly different roles in a single year is a testament to his prowess as an actor.

Comedy is the only genre that doesn't come naturally to him. But even in MPHDH, I think he tried really hard, it was the director's vision that was faulty. I don't think we should judge him on that role alone. I'm going to wait for a bit before I write him off in comedy; maybe he just hasn't gotten the right script.

I think he was fab in Ageneepath, Lakshya, and Guzaarish. He takes these intense roles a notch higher each time. He shines in drama, and how!

I think his Greek God looks overshadows his acting at times, and people don't really care to look beyond the surface. In reality, he's a phenomenal actor who is dedicated to doing his best each time he appears on the screen.
