Fate of Soha's character in Rang De Basanti.

Do you think Soha Ali Khan's character Sonia in Rang De Basanti should've died in the end of the film?

She also was part of the plan to kill the Defense Minister. It was her idea. Ajay (Madhavan) was the closest to her among the friends, whose death they were avenging. They loved each other.

In my opinion she shouldn't have been sidelined during the climax. She should've gone to the radio station along with the boys to confess her crimes.

They didn't know that they were going to get killed in a shootout. They thought they would get arrested so I don't see a good reason on why Soha's character was left out by her friends. She didn't volunteer either.

It would've been a good message as well to show that women too can give their life for their country along with men. They don't show her coming out after DJ and his friends are killed either. It's like she just got away.

Maybe they didn’t show as she already suffered with her partner’s death

Ig they needed a survivor, someone who lost everything and has to be there to witness the aftermath. With Sue and Durga vohra left behind, it becomes more sad, becuase now, they just have Ajay and DJ's moms left with them. Two girls who were to settle with the men they loves and promising careers, now just left with memories.

But yeah, she shouldn't have been sidelined and given a bit more to do.

She died the year she turned 87.

Then the movie could've ended with her coming out to public in open which would've kept her fate unknown to viewers.
