Which is a better movie?
Both movies are coming of age romance films.
They both have the heroine (Naina and Hazel) as the main protagonist instead of the hero for a change as the story is from their perspective.
Both movies also have the hero (Aman and Gus) suffering from a disease and dying in the end.
Also both movies are tear-jerkers which can make you cry or feel sad, but they are still full of hope at the same time.

I tried reading the TFIOS boring as hell and then I watched the movie. It was ok at best. Same nicolas sparks kind of stuff - the only one I really liked was the last song.. a walk to remember is also a good one time watch.
I loved KHNH. Watched it many times…
Kal Ho Na Ho. I was depressed for over a week and cried myself to sleep every night. KHNH is possibly the most emotionally traumatic movie for me. My mum thought I had lost my mind mourning over a fictional character lol. I was like mum, you don’t understand. This is personal, okay? ✋🏼
I’d listen to the instrumental heartbeat song and lay in a pool of my tears. Literally me after watching the movie. 😆
P.S. I don’t cry over Hollywood movies. The only movie I cried watching was Titanic. Only Bollywood knows how to make me upset.
😮... Kal Ho Na Ho a tear jerker?
I got bored while watching The Fault in our Stars...

So no movie has ever made you intentionally cry or shed a tear?
If that's true then you're not suitable for judging which films are tear-jerkers or not.
I have read the book the fault in our stars and liked it. So TFIOS wins. Khnh did not move me.
