That's the case with almost every movie these days especially the ott released ones. Extremely overrated hote hai sab. First the pr praise and then the let's hop on the bandwagon era happens. db I sat through it out of respect for the deceased. Honestly felt bad his last movie was this bad!

I detested Stk! Every bit of it. Yikes.

There was a movie with malika and himanshu on the same lines. Thi father daughter shared a great bond but father son didn't. Evoked more emotions in me.

Both these movies are inspired by Eric Segall 's Love Story. And that story has stayed with me for years, for some odd reason.

When are you hosting again? 😆 I enjoyed your questions.

Can't do a whole tournament. Can do SNL again but it's too soon. Others should also get a chance.

I didn't watch Dil Bechara. I watched the original and didn't like it. And Bollywood remakes are always much much much worse than the original so there was no point.

I tried reading the book. Boring.

The Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley's The Fault in Our Stars' adaptation was awful. It made a sappy romantic drama out of a book that has so much more to offer. I'm a huge John Green fan and have read every one of his books and shorts.

So I watched Dil Bechara with trepidation. I expected it to be worse. But, I have to say, it surprised me. It had the levity which I felt the Hollywood adaptation was lacking.

I mean yeah, it's a mediocre film. Most of the acclaim is due to SSR's untimely demise. But it is not a bad film either. It does the job of being a feel-good film about a romance between cancer patients.

But if it must be compared to anything I'd compare it to Hulu's Looking for Alaska series which is another John Green adaptation. Now that is a good adaptation. It beautifully balances all the light-hearted hijinks and the serious elements.

I am not saying its a bad film, but the hype around it pushed nearly everyone to watch and give it higher ratings. And somewhere all were emotionally attached to the whole situation at that time. The novel is supreme!!
