She won less than 10 awards in her career did she deserve more appreciation for her acting ?

She was very inconsistent..would shine sometimes and other be totally hammy and OTT..definitely no tabu..so i would say she got what she deserved..not underrated for sure

I liked her, at least she was better than Overrated Karisma but she was far behind Tabu & Urmila

As per late 90s tabloids it was alcohol, parties and drugs to some extent that ruined her life. She had one best career in South Tamil Industry working with then best of the best actor and directors Mani Sir to Kamal Sir. Fans were crazy for her looks as well as her top notch performance.

Unfortunately, she got too much indulged with Bollywood party culture. Strings of failed relationships, she dated even Nana took him to Nepal to meet her parents. Married some guy but divorced within 2-3 years.

Later she was diagnosed with cancer, which she fought back and survived.

She had charm and innocence along with dollops of talent to play any kind of role to cheerful, bubbly to grief stricken and cold.

OTT makers could still make most out of her if they could find appropriate story for her. She still can pull of any type of role. .
