Is Chennai Express Rohit Shetty's best movie so far? - Page 2

I enjoyed watching Chennai (I know it was silly) but I think his best work was the first Golmaal. It didn't feel forced and I liked the cast a lot.

Initially I felt like SRK could've kept his film credibility higher if he hadn't done CE and HNY. Then it just kept coming and getting worse... JHMS, and Zero. Now I don't know if he will ever return with a good movie.

Golmaal (2006) is his best work by far

Golmaal and Singham were his best films.

Chennai Express did well but I didn't appreciate the way the film made the audience feel silly and stupid. It tested my intelligence. Also, I was embarrassed for both Shahrukh and Deepika for playing such goofy (not in a fun way) characters.

Sure, though he wasn't looking for credibility - he was looking for B.O. and CE and HNY were two of his biggest hits ($ and footfalls) and currently his last hits. After that he could have taken more risks. He tried with Fan then went back to looking for hits in his usual wheel house and when they didn't work he tried something new again with Zero... He needs to start looking at the quality of the script more than the genre or even the director.

I liked Bol Bacchan more😆

All said and done, no matter how much Rohit Shetty is ridiculed for his brand of cinema (CE, in this case), it takes hard work to make it. Case in point, just watch the making of Chennai Express.

All Shetty movies are awfull. Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty should stop making movies.

The only Farah Khan movie I liked was Main Hoon Na.

The only decent Shetty movie was Golmaal 1
