Why didn't Jimmy Shergill make it big?

I mean, is there anything the guy can't do? He acts well, has great screen presence, is great at comedy, is good-looking...an all-rounder in fact.

He got reduced to character roles and supporting roles after a promising start in Mohabbatein.

Can anyone shed some light on this?😉

I was watching Yahaan the other day and had the same thoughts as you. He's done well in all the films that I've watched so was it just bad luck? I don't like to blame luck for anybody's failure but in Jimmy's case I just don't see anything else that messed things up for him.

Yeah my favourite couple in Mohabbatein was Jimmy and Preeti Jhangiani. They were so adorable and the innocence was so endearing.

Preeti used to be so pretty.

Yeah I really liked his performances. He always stands out - even the little he did in Tanu Weds Manu was amazing. My favorite was his saheb biwi aur gangster role❤️

He is pretty big in Punjabi industry

He did make it big and very well known everywhere he is the most successful actor from the mohabbatein lot..& still working even today.

I love Jimmy. Wish he had gotten better roles.

I feel almost none of the actors from early 2000s made it big. Hrithik and Shahid are the only exceptions. John and Arjun survived because they kept trying to work as leads or co-leads and later they re-invented themselves. They took chances that paid off. Jimmy didn't have something to offer than fans were looking for.
