Something you find very unsatisfying about a movie!

Is there anything you find very unsatisfying about a movie?

I was watching Kohra (1964).

In the beginning they showed a woman taking shower, getting ready and singing a famous song Jhoom Jhoom Dhalti Raat, walking to some other place and murdered.

They didn't show her face throughout the movie. In the end too it was not shown clearly, something I found very unsatisfying. She came out to be an Anglo- Indian actress Thelma.

Had they shown her face in the song, she definitely would have become one-time wonder in the film industry.

I think I saw that movie on Z Channel few yrs back

I think it’s a copy/remake of Rebecca



On topic - for me, this is esp true of older BW movies,

some of them first half is really good from story, performance, execution... It raises your expectations, even our movie industry can produce such quality films with lesser resources (those days), then the second half or the climax is as bad as others

If memory serves me right, I don’t think they showed Rebecca in the movie Rebecca either

But they didn’t show her legs or anything else either.

There was no shower scene. I could be wrong...

When someone who has played a key role in creating major misunderstandings and derailing people's lives with their sneaky, vicious lies but gets away with it, I feel like the movie should have added that one extra scene before winding up... just to show us how that person rots in hell afterwards... to give us that sense of justice and catharsis. For example, that evil sis-in-law in Devdas really needed to suffer but I don't think she did... and that was very unsatisfying. 😆

For that reason alone, I wouldn't mind a sequel to watch karma bitchslapping her face.

it's unsatisfying when a movie ends before I am ready for it to, or when I don't know what happened. 😊
