In Fan, was Aryan responsible for the death of Gaurav?

In the movie Fan, was Superstar Aryan Khanna in anyway responsible for the death of Gaurav?

Superstars or any celeb, who have fans, are completely okay with large number of strangers worshipping them, dedicating their lives for them, treating them like demi-gods, when they are just paid actors doing their job.

They are completely fine with getting this royal treatment, as long as it doesn't start creating problems for themselves.

According to Aryan in the movie, whatever he became in his life was because of his fans, which is true.

Superstars are considered special because of their fan-following. Every other achievement is secondary.

So shouldn't he have immense respect for his fans even if they cross their line sometimes?

What Gaurav did was wrong. Assaulting a rival actor because he spoke some shit about your favorite star is not justified at all.

But what Aryan did? He got Gaurav beaten up by the police, when the rival actor didn't want to make any issue about it.

Aryan didn't want to create any problems for himself. So he completely disowned Gaurav, a fan who dedicated his whole life for the Superstar.

He said that it's my life and my time, why would I even give 5 seconds of it for you?

Would he have dared to say the same thing in public to all his fans across the world?

Then when Gaurav decided to take his revenge from Aryan, by troubling him everywhere, he wanted a simple sorry in return from his idol.

But the Superstar was more okay with him and his family getting troubled and harassed, but wasn't okay with saying a simple sorry to end the matter.

Because that would've hurt his ego. How he got that ego? Through his fans!!!

Even during the climax, Aryan gave a long speech to Gaurav, even gloated about his achievements, but didn't say sorry for hurting the feelings of Gaurav, which caused all this trouble.

Aryan Khanna in the whole movie had this superiority complex, that he could never be wrong. This superiority complex came because of the demi-God status he got from his fans.

This superiority complex is there in every Superstar. For them fans are just numbers, even if they lost one it doesn't matter, because they still have crores of others.

Fans on the other side hold this relationship to their favorite star, too close to heart, even if they don't know them. Their idol is their everything. Is it right or wrong, that's not the question.

The question is, was Aryan Khanna in anyway responsible for the death of Gaurav?

And should celebs see their fans as more than just numbers?
