For those who support Meera and Gautam.
It wasn't about the characters, it was about what the movie said.
There is even a line from Saif which says women who cover up are more attractive. Then, Dimple's character which feeds Veronica all the crap about sanskaari behavior.
Yeah, right. Veronica took in a stranger, gave her a home, and supported her. She supported herself working. She was an exemplary human. Yet she was judged by her clothes and the number of lovers she had.
Meera was an ordinary girl. She didn't judge Veronica. In spite of breaking the girl code/sis code, I continued to like her (sometimes heart does what it wants) until she kicked Saif out. Afterward, instead of either supporting Veronica or living on her own, Meera chose to return to her scummy ex hubby as though that was supposed to be big self sacrifice.
Later, when Veronica gives the green light, SHE more than kept the girl/sis code. Meera couldn't even see Said for the scumbag that he was. Sleeping with the westernized chick but planning to marry the Indian chick. What might have happened after they got married? I hope Meera learned a nasty lesson.
I dislike Gautam for his cliched scumminess of being the stud with modern chicks but opting to marry the untouched virgin.
I dislike Meera because she was a fool. Period.
Agree with everything here...
In real life after marriage Gautam would probably want Meera to do all the cooking and cleaning for him, and prove her sanskari-ness by keeping her mouth shut while sleeps around with various Veronica (or Meera) types 😆
