It wasn't about the characters, it was about what the movie said.

There is even a line from Saif which says women who cover up are more attractive. Then, Dimple's character which feeds Veronica all the crap about sanskaari behavior.

Yeah, right. Veronica took in a stranger, gave her a home, and supported her. She supported herself working. She was an exemplary human. Yet she was judged by her clothes and the number of lovers she had.

Meera was an ordinary girl. She didn't judge Veronica. In spite of breaking the girl code/sis code, I continued to like her (sometimes heart does what it wants) until she kicked Saif out. Afterward, instead of either supporting Veronica or living on her own, Meera chose to return to her scummy ex hubby as though that was supposed to be big self sacrifice.

Later, when Veronica gives the green light, SHE more than kept the girl/sis code. Meera couldn't even see Said for the scumbag that he was. Sleeping with the westernized chick but planning to marry the Indian chick. What might have happened after they got married? I hope Meera learned a nasty lesson.

I dislike Gautam for his cliched scumminess of being the stud with modern chicks but opting to marry the untouched virgin.

I dislike Meera because she was a fool. Period.

Agree with everything here...

In real life after marriage Gautam would probably want Meera to do all the cooking and cleaning for him, and prove her sanskari-ness by keeping her mouth shut while sleeps around with various Veronica (or Meera) types 😆

Would you be as progressive and understanding if you were the woman being cheated on by the man and friend you love the most? Mmmm

But then I'll be hurting myself. If I and the other person really like each other, then we cannot keep hurting each other just to make the friend happy, right?

So not only did she imagine it as some self sacrifice, she lacked the spine to say no and stick to it, ending up using another chap to do her dirty work.

Did you even watch the film? When he chased her she confronted him and asked him to leave her alone. Still he kept on stalking her till she pretended to be back to her husband.

She needed to meet the husband before leaving the country anyway if she needed a divorce from him... the guy was a jerk... used the money her family gave him as dowry and abandoned her... he didn't do anything for her except letting her stay in his house uh perhaps for a week. Yeah the bhola jerk was doing dirty job on her behalf.

But still it was a decent watch.

Yes I would have rather this happened. This would have been a better ending.

On topic, Both Meera and Veronica weren’t completely wrong. However Meera did break a girl code, you don’t go around kissing or start having things for your best friend’s bf, ex, or even their FWB. That’s just a NO!

Agreed.

@bold - exactly 🙌. Veronica was a great friend.

Both should have dumped Gautam and chosen their friendship over Gautam.

I watched the film and stand by what I said.

I didn't call him bhola, did I?

Does that make what she did right?

She could've damned well said no to Saif without using ex. She could've lived on her own. She didn't.

Just like Veronica before, Meera needed another patsy to take care of her needs. She got her ex. She used him.

If this were real life, I would've said she got exactly what she deserved with Gautam. A man like him would last 6 months to a year tops with her before straying. In his own words, his attraction for her was what she kept hidden. Once he's seen it, what's left? He would've expected her to continue as doormat while he had his fun times. Yeah, she got what she deserved.

Veronica actually dodged a bullet. Come to think of it, she should've thanked the 2 losers 😆 One decent human deserves another. Veronica was a fantastic person while Gautam was scum and Meera was foolish user.

Tell me, what's SO wrong with that? Gautam WAS NOT OBLIGATED to love or marry Veronica-- he was NOT her boyfriend. He is allowed to love and marry whoever he wanted. He did not cheat on Veronica. Idk why people fail to comprehend this simple thing.

Veronica behaved like some abla naari who has been wronged, when she hadn't. She knew very well that theirs was not a serious relationship. But she threw a hissy fit when Gautam chose to fell in love with someone else. Like, what the eff? If anything, she was a hypocritical self-righteous moron.

I would have to, if I didn't wanna make a fool out of myself. First get into a no-strings-attached relationship and then cry foul as if I got cheated on. 😆
