it was like a very mild level of cheating. Gautam n Veronica were not in a relationship but fwb. she also dated other peoplenwhile with him. But problem is when the third person involved is such a close friend n nit just any other girl things do get complicated. It indeed is a girl code to not get involved with someone in anyway involved with someone your friend is involved with.In a trio if two people fall in love the other is bound to feel insecurw even if they dont have any feelings. Here to Veronica fell for Gautam . I think veronicas feelings were justified but her blaming meera so much was not. Meera did the bestvshe could after breaking the girl code imo. Gautam too was really sweet with veronica took care of her after her accident. I dont think any of them were bad people

Being happy after being selfish? Hurting the one person who went out of the way to take care of you?

Veronica took Meera under her wing when they were practically strangers. Sure some people will say that she was lonely and did so but Veronica wasn't just a friend to Meera.

That's not how you treat someone so close to you. There can be another guy in Meera's life but she would never find another friend like Veronica.

A man like Gautam who fell in love after a kiss, there was hardly any scenes between the two...he would eventually find someone else and Meera would be crying in Veronica's arms. Karma.

How is it selfish? They were not in a serious relationship. If I was Meera and Veronica started blabbering her nonsense about "stealing" her boyfriend, I would remind her of the times SHE was dating other men. She herself was never serious about Gautam, never even gave any indication that she was in love with him, and all of a sudden she's like, "Naaaahhhhh I loooooowwwe him"? And at that exact time that Meera and Gautam decided to be in a relationship---like, how convenient. It's more like "Waaaaah how dare he choose HER over MEEEE". Ego issues.

Veronica was not in love with him at all. She just wanted to play the homely bahu who fits in. She wanted a family since she never had her own. But the kind of woman she was, she would eventually grow bored of Gautam and sleep with his brother/friend. 😆

Serious relationship or not, Meera broke the girl code. Thats the only problem I have with her. Like I said it doesn't matter whether it is an fwb, casual or serious relationship, breaking the code remains the same.

Gautam and Veronica slept together and the former ended up developing feelings for the latter.

Gautam also falls under the same logic u said...he never showed any interest in Meera and one kiss later he is in love with her.

The point is if Gautam had fallen for any other girl, it was fine. But he fell for his fwb's friend...who couldn't tolerate him in the beginning.

U never break the code. Its unsaid but its there. Especially not for someone like Gautam. Veronica might've been ok with them getting together but few months later she'd start disliking them.

No one was wrong. It was just an awkward situation.

I don't think the criticism of the movie is directed at the characters falling in love. The criticism is directed at the tired tropes the film propagates. Even though the film attempted to be fresh, it's the same old - men want to sleep around but want a traditional wife, the traditional woman is always the one he will fall for, the modern woman will always be alone till she adopts tradition.

That 'code' only applies to serious relationships. And yes, it was weird that he fell for her after just one kiss, but still fact remains that Meera liked him too. So that's that. They cannot give up their life just because their friend has become delusional.

Didn't Gautam kiss Veronica on the beach on the same vacation he kissed Meera? They hadn't even ended their fwb officially. The code is very much there...u are dating the man who ur best friend was banging. If that's not weird, then idk what is...and the code does apply, irrespective of the relationship type.

No. If he had no feelings for Veronica he should've ended it. She anyways wore salvar kameez to impress him and gave him a hug after that. That was a red flag that she wanted something more.

And if they wanted to date, then Gautam should've officially ended the fwb, given it some time and then dated Meera (even tho I do not advocate it under any circumstances).

Gautam's behaviour here had pissed me completely. He legit came between the two girls and was so freaking casual about it, despite all the red flags.

Tbh he didn't deserve either. Meera should've left him, the girls should've kicked him out and remained friends for life. Sisters before Misters. That would've been a much better story.
