Which are some films which come to your mind when I say showing the dysfunctional side of relationships?

Could be mainstream as well as offbeat BW movies.

I love dysfunctional family stories . Bollywood never really explored that genre. I love The Family stone, The royal Tenenbaums, The Squid and the Whale, Nebraska , The Kids are allright. I wish bollywood make films like these.

I love The Family Stone and The Kids are alright.

But Kapoor and Sons is one such dysfunctional family story which was top-notch as well.

Kapoor & Sons. Loved it. The only movie where Siddharth Malhotra acted well.

I liked the subtlety in showing the dysfunctional relationships in the lives of Saif’s family in the movie Hum-Tum. It’s shown so well how most of the times people are still in love with each other but still they become distant because of lack of communication.
