How much overhyped is the popularity of actors? - Page 2

Seems pretty overhyped. Zoomers don't seem to care much about actors or actresses and aren't into fanboying or fangirling that much. Thanks to increasing choices, variety of content, overexposure of actors due to increasing prominence of social media platforms. It seems to be that the last generation of fans that I encounter seems to be from early 90s and late 80s born who are turning into new uncles/aunties who are like hamare zamane ke songs or movies or actors were the best. But that could be because I interact more with them so could certainly be a consequence of my biased sample.

I showed my brother the pic of Ranveer on chings schezwan noodles packet few days ago and asked him who is this person. He said I don't know his name. He's some actor.😆

He's 12 years old.

12 year olds just don’t care. My 12 year old brother couldn’t even recognize SRK. 😆

Oh I noticed it a few months ago when I was stocking up Maggi before lockdown. Even I couldn't recognize him on the packet lol.

Well... most 11 and 12 year olds know all the Marvel and DC actors these days... they have no clue about Bollywood actors... I have a 11 year old in the family.
