Why did Ileana's character in Barfi not follow her heart initially? - Page 2

She listened to her mother advice, later want to listen her heart because she understood money and comfort, but if her husband is a lovely guy who showers her love and spends time with her understand her, may be she would never continue meeting Barfi and would stay away from him and will even say she is happy. Now the girl doesn't have loving husband so she misses Barfi and wants it, otherwise is she got that from her husband she would happy forget barfi..

I have seen both the cases in real life also, the girl who choose lover as husband going against parents and repented later for wrong decision, other girl leaving lover and marry for money and had problems in marriage life. So both cases the girl repent for wrong decision, and unhappy, so it's entirely different after marriage.

I feel even if illeana character go against her mother and married Barfi, may be later she might have felt she would have listened to his mother and that will lead to more problems. So we can't be sure as I have seen both the cases in real life..It's normal as a girl wants to have finacially secure and also loving husband both .

Priyanka's name was Jhilmil, BTW. ☺️

The people here who are saying that they would also choose a rich spouse for a comfortable life, well of course you would, anyone would. That's obvious.

Well, if I am in love with someone else and that person also loves me, then that person would also be happy in my happiness if I choose a rich spouse for a comfortable life.

So I shall marry the rich person and then fall in love with the rich person.
