So I caught the movie Dolly Kitty aur Woh Chamakte Sitare on Netflix and I found it average. Despite its good intentions, the movie falters in one aspect - the cluttering of the landscape with too many points. The sexual liberation for women theme is commendable and definitely deserves a platform. Bhumi is awesome but Konkona omg....I couldn't move my eyes away from her in the entire film...such a natural performer...it is like she owns each and every frame she is in.
I’ve loved Alankrita’s work till now but everything in this movie felt forced and awkward to me. The back stories are wobbly, entire scenes seem staged and everything is clumsily/ badly gathered up in the end. The performances are what redeems the movie to a great extent, especially Konkona, Vikrant Massey and the guy who plays the delivery guy.
Overall, a one-time watch.
Has anyone seen it or intends to see it?
