Javed Ali and Sushant Singh Rajput

Javed Ali is set to pay a musical tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput through his upcoming single, titled 'Sushant'. Talking about the song, which encapsulates Sushant’s journey as an actor, Javed says, “Lalit Sen, who is a friend, had approached me with this beautiful and emotional composition. We recorded the single around 20 days ago and I felt a strong emotional connect with it. I am an admirer of Sushant’s acting, and have watched most of his films. His portrayal of MS Dhoni in the cricketer’s biopic remains my most favourite.”

The video of the song has stock images of the late actor from his films, events and functions over the years. While the track has been penned by Nawab Arzoo, it has been produced by Ksshitij Singh and Yash Shetty (TV actress Farnaz Shetty’s brother). It will be released on the producers’ channel on a video-sharing platform on August 21.

Incidentally, Javed had recorded the song Manja from Sushant’s debut film, 'Kai Po Che!' (2013), but his cut didn’t make it to the film. He recalls, “I had recorded the song for Amit Trivedi, and was very excited about it, as it was quite different. Mujhe yeh malaal definitely rahega ki, if things had fallen into place toh ek behatareen gaana mere kaam mein judd jaata aur ek bahut badi memory hoti. In fact, I was in talks for a couple of songs in his upcoming projects, but it wasn’t meant to be. I think agar muqaddar mein na ho toh kuch bhi kar lo, aap woh haasil nahi kar sakte.

Awww man! I frankly do not follow anyone from the telly industry. There was a time when I felt that the television industry made some really great shows. I'm talking about the 90s. I'm someome who absolutely loved shows like Hip Hip Hurray, Tu Tu Main Main and a few more from that time. I just felt the industry as a whole became so regressive with most of the stuff that Ekta put out.

But Sushant's passing has been an eye opener in this context too because I have seen so many people from the television industry show more spine than combined Bollywood. So this is a tribute I'm very much looking forward to watching and it feels so weird saying that. Every time Ek Vaari comes on, his smiling face appears in front of you whether you are watching it on telly or not. Harshad being the one to pay a tribute to him is also so symbolic because they played brothers on the very first show Sushant appeared in.

this! People are pointing out the trolling to BW, but as just fans we have mustered so much compassion and stood up for the family we don’t knwo, so BW response now and before is just comes off fake. On the other hand, so many TV folks have stood up without any expectations and they aren’t getting trolled ( some of them have millions of followers too). i always had so much respect for the sheer hard work People on TV put into their craft, to know they haven’t lost their sense of judgement and morals, is really heartwarming.

At the end, intentions and emotions matter.

On that note, Getting CBI enquire was 2 months in the making; it warms my heart SOO MUCH that people in this thread kept going and kept the love for SSR alive. ❤️❤️❤️

All this tribute stuff is so hard to digest.

Its like yes he really is no more 😒

But anyway congratulations to his family and friends/fans who were fighting for CBI. May justice prevail.

God... this tore my heart. Even if Sush had been there, my Prem-Preet heart would have jumped out of nostalgia and now this myriad of emotions about him not being here brings everything to a whole new level of heartbreak. Gutted

I recall, there was another theory floating around that he kenw something big since feb and the reason behind killing..

But if her body was found like that.. then it is an obvious rape case, and she would have killed herself post that after calling Sushant.. these guys killed sushant because rape new coming out would turn into an murder abetment charge, which is more serious (given in rape case they would have easily gone scottfree or max 7 yrs in jail)
