People who are thinking today's backlash is the beginning of her ending probably have forgotten Kalank, SOTY 2 item song, and the Dustbin music video. All three got rejected last year despite her Oscar lead actor winning performance as Hijabi empowerment girl Safeena. The ending began last year. That's why no one is supporting her today. Buying the last Filmfare was a mistake, she pissed off lots of neutrals.

That was Karan Johar's fault. LOL. She just blindly does whatever he asks. And he screwed up badly by trying to turn her into a diva. I seriously think he created a Bhansali-esque movie Kalank just for Alia. After getting a good actor tag, he wanted her to get the beautiful diva thing going too while giving her big classical dances and a grand movie image. That wasn't enough and she had to become the Hottie also in weird item songs like the one with Tiger. It looked like a 12 year old trying to be sexy. He wanted her to be anything and everything. I have no idea what is his obsession with her.

But then I'm cynical. I think he wanted to push her into the older sexy diva roles so he could free up those young content movies for his star kid assembly line. Aloo's career would have been much better off if he gave her Gunjan Saxena instead of items songs and a wannabe Bhansali movie.

Besides Dharma, Alia is not that coveted by other filmmakers. Even YRF hasn't touched her yet.

She was trolled for silly things earlier; nothing important. It's the same way Ananya Pandey gets trolled. It's mostly just done for fun. Nobody takes it that seriously.

The way she's getting attacked now is different. You can't make a cool AIB video and get loved again in this case.

She will definitely survive but the hype and belief that she's the best in the industry is gone. She is just like any other actress now which will be hard for someone who's used to being treated like a queen.

Didn't Kjo say after Kalank's failure that he was indulgent to the actors demands and let them do those unnecessary show offish things (Bullfighting entry, Aishwarya entry, brothel dance by a bahu, item songs wagera) So, it was Aloo herself who demanded all those things, Varun as well. And that music video... Kjo didn't even acknowledge that abomination. So she dug her own grave Kjo just inadvertently pushed her into that grave by giving her the Filmfare (He did that out of desperation... Thought an award might make people forget Kalank, itemsong, music video... He needed inflated image of Aloo and Ranveer since they were the leads of his Takht, and he needed money from financiers)

No if she’s still films and roles she’s fine

She will still get work but no actress can be on top for so many years. She been hogging the limelight of top heroine since 2014. She’s had her time.

I do believe the respect and admiration for her has definitely bounced back and she’s no Salman to bounce back

End of career? No, she will still get work, unless she cannot handle all this on her own, and crumbles.

End of the "cute, dumbo" person? Yes. She has become a villain.

No, this is not the end of her career, but she has definitely been knocked off the pedestal she was put on. People have finally caught on to her mediocrity and manufactured stardom. she will still get movies but her glory days are gone.

Don't know about her career! But hopefully this time may serve as a reality check on her as well as the Bhatts!

Her movies will still work like before when the theaters do reopen , unless they are a Shandaar .
