Do you find yourself rooting for the underdog or overachiever?

Here's something I always wondered. I find myself rooting for the underdog ever so often. Be it Yami, Sushant, Ileana, Vikrant Massey or Tahir Raj Bhasin, I am often attracted to the struggles of the underdog. If I find them talented, I don't care what their status is in the film world hierarchy.

But I know some people gravitate towards overachievers and supporting them. Which is also great, and I also love Deepika, who is immensely successful. But at the beginning when Deepika debuted with Sonam, I remember rooting for Sonam more as she was the underdog. I think I am naturally inclined towards people who don't get so much hype, and who have to struggle harder than their contemporaries. This maybe because of my taste/personal preference/temperament.

I root for Randeep Hooda a lot. He's such a perfect actor but never got his due. Can't really get over the fact that how he never got a single award for his hardwork in Sarbjit. I have stopped believing in award programs since ever!

Also, I root for Vidyut Jamwal. I can't even how they prioritize that wooden Tiger Shroff over such a great stunt master and marshal art expert like Vidyut.

Always. My case is that I have an inclination towards underrated ones, be it movies, actors, singers, directors, anyone.

Popularity repels me somewhat, it's not that I stop liking that person, for example, I still love SRK, even after he is a superstar but I love rooting more for underrated ones.

Same. I loved Pranutan more than Ananya, and wondered how she didn't receive the best debut award.

I have a soft corner for the underdogs too -with a caveat -they should be talented. Pranutan, Parineeti and Vikrant Massey fit the bill. Praising someone too much is the best way to put me off. Bahubali, Harry Potter,Alia Bhatt.Kuch Kuch Hota Hai..the list goes on. Which is why I will take my time about watching Bulbbul,Paatal Lok or Asur . I won't be able to watch them objectively. I waited one year before watching Vikrant Massey's Criminal Justice and I'm kicking myself for being late to the party.

THIS!!

Over achievers Maa ki tummy se ban kar nahi nikalte log....they also have their struggles...Can't believe why credit is never given for someone's success and it is somehow hated..

I support talent only. Whether they are underdogs or overachievers it doesn't matter. The only problem is that most of the underdogs are not given the platform or opportunities despite being talented.

I don't root for people. I root for myself

Honestly speaking I don't have my personal favourite😆 I only watch movie if the trailer appeals me irrespective of the actors, director or the producer
