She has done really well for herself. It's name easy to make yourself known globally. People know her and she has reach, so i believe she is successful.

She ha d a hit tV series. Baywatch was a big movie, but not a great success. I believe she is being considered for the next Matrix movie with keanu. Deepika had a much bigger hit in fast and Furious series move with Vin Diesel.

She is married, though 37 and if she doesn't hurry up, the kids window will close. At her level she can hire surrogates.

No, but I wouldn't call her a failure either. The way she started, it was a pretty big deal to land as the leading star of an ABC show. Song with Pitbull is also not so easy. Film with The Rock, titled Baywatch which is iconic in America. These are prestigious projects. But she couldn't make a mark. Bad TV show (season 1 was sorta ok, but s2and3 were a big mess) and three flop films, flop music career. In this process, she also lost out on Bollywood, her last hit was 5 years ago.

Her biggest achievement in the West is Nick Jonas. She is better known there as Nick Jonas' wife (among non-desis).

Her lineup now looks good though. But like someone said, she will have to make the difficult call of choosing career or motherhood (in case she wants to give birth biologically that is; surrogacy and adoption are other options). She is 38 years old, and unfortunately this is a time when you are forced to choose one.

If she chooses motherhood, then I don't know if HW will give her these chances again. They are also ageist and sexist. May be slightly better than BW but still problematic nevertheless.

Sorry if this sounds wrong, but isn't that kind of true. Scientifically speaking.

She's the only Indian celebrity who's been covered by mainstream media and way before she was Mrs. Jonas. Even Dev Patel and Freida Pinto didn't do that nor did any actor of Indian descent. The only exception is Kunal Nayyar but he was a part of the biggest sitcom of the 2010s.

She was seen with Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Aniston, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Dwayne Johnson, Tom Hiddleston. Was on every best dressed list. Did films (whether good or bad) with some of the biggest stars. Headlined an American Prime Time show.

Despite all the flops or bad projects, she has Citadel with Richard Madden, Matrix 4 and other projects lined up. And if she's going a bit slow, let her! That woman's been working nonstop since she was 17 and if she wants a break to enjoy her married life and be a wife, she totally deserves it.

I haven't even seen so many Hollywood celebs remaining relevant the way she has been. All those who've had much more successful projects are either without a job or doing cameos here and there. Sure she gets hate but its mainly coz people find the accent weird and the Jonas fangirls.

So yes, she is successful because Hollywood measures success with an equal balance of amount of work and the type of project (A, B). If she bucks up she might get a major superhero film or something and would be an A Lister there.

whether it is true or not; how does this matter.

The thread is about her career. Not her marriage and having kids. Also her life, she can do what ever the hell she wants to.
if this was a male who was 37, you wouldn’t comment on him having kids or not. Sad that this comes from women on here.

She has good eye for business also. I think she is successful

Also success is a term which is vague and more on a personal level. So it depends on what success means to her

I don't think career and personal life are separate. Both are intertwined. Especially for Priyanka at the stage she is. If you're talking about the past, yes, they've been separate. But next few years? I don't know.

Nobody's saying she can't do what she wants to do. But just trying to get a sense of where her career is headed and she might have to make some difficult choices, which almost every career woman has to make at some point in her life.

It is sad indeed, but it's the reality. Women cannot work through a pregnancy, but a man can. All a man has to do is have sex. Even that is a pleasurable experience for him. But the woman has to bear all the labour that comes with childbirth. And worse, they are expected to bring up children on their own, while men go on as if their life has not changed much.

Many women with kids balance their careers just fine. Yes it takes a slight hitting, and that is reality. But if you look at how much she has Achieved collectively, it is nothing she can’t bounce back from and resume, Kareena and deepika in bw are in their 30’s and married who have the same decisions to make. So if she’s in that boat, so are they....

it is normal for a woman’s career to slow down during a point during childbearing, so I agree with you that men have it easier in that regard as childbearing takes energy. they don’t have to deal with that.

But I’ve never heard of the idea of women bringing up children on their own. I mean this is 2020 and most women in relationships atleast where I live, expect an equal effort on raising a child.
