National Award for Best actor 2019 - Sushant Singh Rajput

Question is which movie would he win it for? Sonchiriya or Chhichore?

I hope he wins it for Sonchiriya because it's geneuinely a good film that deserves more viewers. Hopefully his win for the film will ensure more people watch it.

It's not about who deserves it. Sridevi got it for Mom when there was nothing award-worthy in it. At least Sushant's film is good.

But its not fair since both films you mentioned of SSR starred other talented actors. They all stood out. Also, Sridevi is a legend not just an actress.

Haan dedo woh kaunsa khush hoga milne ke baad. Usko toh pta bhi nahi chalega uske jaane ke baad kya gandh machi hai usake death ki. Dedo. Tumhara guilt bhi kam hoga. Agle saal koi aur suicide kar lega usko bhi do. National awards toh waise bhi consolation prize ki tarah ki bann gaye hai pichle kuch saalon me, authentic toh rahe hi nahi hain NA toh dedo.

I am sorry to say Sushant does not deserves any national award for best actor just because he commited suicide as a sympathetic gesture. His acting skills were average. There are way better regional actors from South, Maharashtra and East who deserve this for their hard work. SSR should not get this award. This would such a bad gesture towards regional cinema. Though he can get award for remembrance.
