Since you all seem to be in awe of Bulbbul, I'd highly recommend you this Bengali movie.

The premise is same minus the supernatural elements. Kadambari (Bulbbul) gets married off to a wealthy man at a very young age, develops a close friendship with her brother in law Robi/ Rabindranath Tagore ( Satya in Bulbbul) and later meets a tragic end.

Konkona Sen Sharma is breathtaking as Kadambari.

Where can I watch?

Please recommend me more Bengali movies.. preferably love stories & nothing too dark.

I've only seen a few over the years, can't remember the names unfortunately, except one called Saptapadi starring Suchitra Sen, which I loved.

If anyone's into detective movies then Satyajit Ray's Sonar Kella is an amazing watch, it also has a beautiful reincarnation plot.

I enjoyed Kadambari, Konkona was so beautiful but I somehow felt that someone younger would have suited more given her lifespan was of only 26 years
