If people think it's possible, they will want the Oscar even more. Do you know much publicity the Academy gets around the world when the add international actors?

It's like a year long process. She can't time it according to her needs. The new members are always announced around this time each year.

She is a popular actor regardless of how she became one. There is no big deal in her getting into things like this. Even Hrithik is a nepo product.

Kangu rani must be seething but this is why you need to maintain friendly relations with people around you. Nobody will sponsor her and then she will go on a rant about how she is above these types of things.

Her writing a note is a PR tactic for sure. it is not as big of deal, but you will see how this is broadcasted by the media as if it is a huge deal. I don’t remember deepika or tabu highlight this because they had more things to be proud of.

She has absolutely nothing on merit besides her just going out there to act. This is something she can boast over as something which she has attained through merit ( howver the problem today is that the root of her successes today are from privelege lobbying and nepotism) she will have to deal with this though. Poor thing is in denial and as a result she comes across as the most insecure thing tbh

Yeah I'm expecting it soon. I think he would only get rejected if there are already too many Indian names being sponsored so the Board declines him for that particular year.

Sonam will get there too if Anil can get one more actor to sponsor her. I mean if Anil asks one of his pals like Salman, it's not like they will say no. And people like Sonam are all popular actors known by millions. Once the name gets to the top, it would definitely get approved. Unless as I said, there were already too many Indian names that year so they decline. Then they can try the same process again next year.

Ranveer and Ranbir will get in soon too the same way.

Once a desi group is already in, they can keep on adding new people. But it's possible the Academy will cap members eventually. They want to be diverse for show but not THAT diverse that their white-man-pain movies stop winning.

This is as much oscars trying to maintain its woke credibility, as its BW protecting their perceived elitism. Oscars ratings have also been steadily slipping for the past 5-10 years. So this whole OscarsNotSoWhite movement gives them muft ka publicity will they hope helps to garner ratings.
