The general audience here is people who watch Netflix and even there those who watched Bulbbul. At the end of the day its a very small number. These people need hype/recognition in order to sustain and get more and bigger offers.

The same pair got rave reviews for Laila Majnu as well but there was no recognition and nothing else for 2 years. Its just weird that the ones praising the movie are not even tagging the leads.

Yeah, that's the problem na. This happens with many talented ones. I don't follow those accounts so I have no idea about them but that's really rude and wrong.

Honestly if you put her in the big league, along ananya, sara, alia, etc today current “it” girls, she will knock them out. This is exactly why bw mafia would feel threatened by her, is because that’s exactly what she would do

I remember seeing her for Laila majnu promotion and saw the preview, and thinking wow this is girl is really pretty but thinking nothing of it really. But her acting skills are truly remarkable. She needs to be up front and center

Yup, this is where the systematic bias kicks in. IMO, the movie is average but the performances are top notch. Everyone has been talking about Anushka and rare mentions of Tripti or Avinash.

Matlab since when have people started praising producers(although I have to give it to her, she has been experimenting and not just sticking to a formula) ?

And this is when it's an OTT release, where there's no box office reports for people to hide behind 'Oh outsiders don't bring in footfalls'. And then they have the audacity to say that we don't believe in elitism or groupism.

hindi film reviews, most of them, will always notice the status of the actors. If they are popular well known actors, who have done well as the bo..they will praise you to the moon. If you are well know actor, but has not done well at bo, the praise is even less. If you are not well establish, they won’t really give af about you.

Tripti was looking surreal and was amazing as Bulbul. The girl looks so fresh and young and yet like a proper adult..not a kid like Alia or Ananya.

This is the kind of face ..an SLB would be interested in..poetic and mystical..she would fit right into SLB world with the way she looked and acted in Bulbul..you go girl. !

I loved all performances in the movie.. Avinash, Paoli was enchanting as well, Rahul Bose ofcourse and my favourite was Parambhrata besides Tripti❤️❤️

Tripti is such a stunner. I couldn't take my eyes off her in Bulbbul. Especially, in the part where she plays the teenage version, in her pastel colored Banarasi's and subdued look. What a beauty. And what a performance. Really loving Avinash too. He looks like a sexier, younger version of Ranveer Singh. Although his role in Bulbbul is more of a supporting character, he does full justice to it.

Doesn't matter what the industry says or not for Tripti and Avinash, the general audience is loving them. And with no bollywood releases this year and probably for the first few months of the next year, I think the time has come for some talented outsiders to shine, even if its on the OTT platform.

I haven't seen either of Tripti's films so I can't give my opinion regarding her acting. But when I first saw her in the laila-majnu songs and trailer, she struck me as really pretty.

A striking face like hers definitely deserves more attention from mainstream big budget production houses. I hope now with the nepotism hate in its peak, she manages to land more good projects.

I just saw this interview..and it broke my heart to hear her say that she was out of work for a year with no appreciation for Laila Majnu & the disappointment of not even being noticed..💔

Also, Avinash sounds intelligent! Loved listening to him. Very honest.
