she did not take sushant's name also.

just dismissed it.

gave out bhaashan.

gave helpline numbers and that's it.

I mean what was that.

If you can't give better condolences, atleast put that stupid black screen post.

Why can't she even mention his name? I guess that's what irritated me the most

She is concluding that he defintely died from depression. I mean, why right it off so fast.

And he was not some random stranger to her., he was her colleague. Just putting out depression helplines and saying repeat repeat, as if SSR is just like any other depression patient out there.

Atleast let the police conclude that he died due to suicide and that too because of depression, rather than just assuming immediately and giving lectures.

She doesn't need to mention his name. Not everyone does everything on social media. She may have mourned his death privately like most of us.

What she is doing is required to save more Sushants from taking similar steps. Kudos to her for continuing to do what she believes in despite getting so much hate from those who do not understand the significance of mental health and the effects of depression.

she is a depression victim herself can you stop. Unlike you she is at least spreading an awareness however she can that could help others.

Selfish is not a right word honestly. She isn't gaining anything with those tweets but only hate. My problem with those tweets is they lack depth, concern and sympathetic treatment. She thinks she is creating awareness and helping people to open up but she is not. She's trying to over simplify depression, and her talks are very surface level but in real it is too dense. I'm prone to frequent anxiety attacks I know how it feels, if someone comes and tells me no you are depressed and it's same like another xyz sufferings I will throw up 100%.

You have to encourage people to discuss and open up, not just post a thing and expect they will.

In regards to Sushant's post I think she could definitely have post something but she chose not to. That is fine. With Rishi Ji and Irfan either she didn't post anything except for black image which pretty much says everything. May be she was grieving in silence or not grieving at all we don't know. She didn't post anything fine, but had she posted would have been better, there was no harm if she had.

Yes..I have said this earlier too if she had not posted anything it would have been fine..but talking about mental health exactly after his death that too numerous times but not mentioning his name makes her look insensitive. Those who have mourned privately..they dint post anything. She had all the time to post but not mention him.

She still may mean well but it’s making her look like a clown by posting “repeat me quote of the day by DP”. But yeah she just lost a lot of followers because of that. People are finding it irritating, selfish and stupid

If I may quote Jennifer Anniston

It wasnt selfish. It was rather supremely disrespectful and insensitive for Deepika to not even acknowledge him by saying his name anywhere.

Yes, the message she send out was helpful. Yes the conversation she was trying to have was helpful. But why were we having that conversation? Because of Sushant. He deserved the acknowledgement. There's no two ways about it.

Maybe because of the manner he died, seeing his name of her feed everyday could be triggering. The cognitive association works really fast in this respect. But not even a story where she names him? I found that disrespectful.

However, that doesn't give anyone else the license to mock mental illness. You can criticize the way she went about things but erasing her depression or saying she doesn't know anything about depression is moronic.

You can't make anyone acknowledge someone who died due to a mental illness by mocking their own. Then you don't care about mental illness at all.

i never questioned her depression

I am questioning her way of respecting someone who just died.

Is this the time to give advice on depression.

Isn't it more respectful and sensitive to wait for few days and then start the "Repeat after me Jaap"

What is she trying to prove.. that Sushant was Definitely depressed and there is no doubt.

We are not even sure yet that he was depressed. How can she conclude that he died of depression itself.

Treating SSR as just one random depression patient who committed suicide, is not only sooo disrespectful but also a insenstive and stupid thing to do

He was depressed. The Police revealed it. He was on meds which he refused to take during the last few days.

I didn't find anything wrong in her 'you are not alone' post. But like I said, why were we having that conversation? Because of Sushant and some level of acknowledgement should have been there.

There is no good or bad time to talk about depression or mental health. Her advice on depression and her repeat after me posts don't really stand out to me as wrong or problematic per se. Maybe people found it annoying but she was still trying something. It's the lack of acknowledgement of Sushant in any form or way, that felt off to me.
