When did you feel an actor went beyond the script?

When was the last time you watched a film and felt that an actor had surpassed what the script demanded of him/her? Like, the acting was so powerful that you felt somehow the actor had gone beyond what was expected of him/her? And the film was elevated by the acting alone?

For me:

Shahid in Kabir Singh -- He really went beyond what was expected of him. What a superb performance!

Kangana in Queen -- The drollness and quaintness of her expressions were beyond powerful❤️

Vidya in Kahaani -- She really transformed herself into her character!

Sushant Singh Rajput in MS Dhoni -- He was flawless!

SRK in Chak De India -- His best perf. till date

Saif in Omkara -- Can't think of the last time when a villain was so good!

Very recently, Vidya in Shakuntala Devi, especially when her character started ageing. The way she balanced the maturity that a 70+ woman would have while staying true to Shakuntala Devi's full of life fun loving nature was worth the time spent watching the film.

Those are poor examples cited. All of those were due to the good script. The Screenwriters should be given credit.
